The Hunter is Australia’s oldest wine region (1820s), and it remains the country’s only consistent producer of world-class semillon. It’s also the easiest day-trip from Sydney we run — three vineyards, a paired lunch at Margan, and you’re back in the CBD by 7:30pm.

Our Hunter crew runs six tours, with departure points in Sydney, Newcastle, and Pokolbin itself. The flagship is the Sydney day-trip; the connoisseur’s favourite is the Semillon Masterclass at Audrey Wilkinson, which sits on a 1866 vineyard with views back across the valley.
