Daves is Australia's most awarded craft beer, wine and spirits tour operator. Our Canberra crew opened in 2017 with one brewery tour and a handful of makers we knew. Today we run five public tours and a private charter — every one with behind-the-scenes access.

Eighteen years ago, Daves was one Dave running a single pub tour through The Rocks because the official ones missed all the good stuff. The Canberra crew opened in 2017 with the same idea — a small group, a local Dave, and the brewer / vigneron / distiller / chocolatier doing the talking themselves.
We like to keep our tours small so you can get to know the makers, see their production process, and ask any questions you've got. Five public tours run in Canberra plus private charters for groups — and another 33 tours across our six sister regions, all on the same booking-fee policy (zero). We are all Dave. Daves is all of us.
Our format
Every tour we run, in every region, follows the same template. A small group (we like to keep our tours small so you can get to know the makers, see their production process, and ask any questions). A local guide. Behind-the-scenes access at every stop, not a window into the brewhouse. A real meal at venues that plate for our group. And no booking fees — ever, on any tour, in any region.

Today the Canberra team is six guides and one driver — all locals, all Dave. We don't put a single name on the door because the company isn't a person, it's the format: small group, local Dave, makers doing the talking.

What we don't do
- Bus tours with megaphones.
- Group sizes above 11 on a public tour.
- Booking fees, ever.
- Pickups from cruise ships or coach parks (we'll come to your hotel for private charters).
- Generic "Australian brewery experience" packages we sell to wholesalers.
- Dynamic pricing — Saturday is the same price as Wednesday.

The accreditations
We're a member of the Tourism Industry Council ACT and carry A$20m public liability and professional indemnity cover. We don't serve alcohol ourselves — every pour on every tour is served by the licensed venue we're visiting. We sell directly through this site and through our partner network (GetYourGuide, Klook, Viator) for international guests.
